“Shaping Futures” is coming to our Concord gallery this week!
Join us this Thursday, June 11th, from 5-7pm for an opening reception for our Shaping Futures: Annual Prison Outreach Program Exhibition. Select pieces from our Fuller Craft Museum exhibit will be on display, as well as some from our Furniture Master Instructors.
Our Prison Outreach Program is active in New Hampshire at both the Men’s and Women’s prisons in Concord, and at the Maine State Prison. For over two decades, Furniture Masters have worked alongside program participants to teach valuable woodworking and furniture making skills, and many lives have been transformed. As a celebration of our 30th anniversary, the NH Furniture Masters have published a hardcover book, which serves as a catalog of work for our exhibition at the Currier Museum of Art as well as a record of the history and impact of the NH Furniture Masters over the past 30 years.
